The principal raw material of Moonraker’s Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) is a specially developed and engineered Magnesium Oxide (MgO) structural sheathing. The MgO used in our SIPS is non combustible and carries an ICC-ESR rating of zero fire spread and zero smoke spread. This gives MoonrakerSIPS buildings excellent protection against fire and fire spread. Our panels can be used as internal and external walls, including party walls utilised in multi-family developments.
MgO does not rot or mould, nor does it feed mildew. This makes for a much healthier habitat and living environment. Even after flood events our MgO SIPS will not be compromised by water damage the same way alternative building products are.
